The journey to CERES …

I didn’t set out to create CERES—life had other plans.

My love of food led me to launch the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival, a celebration of the South’s rich culinary traditions. After selling the business, I set my sights on building a global culinary exchange. That venture didn’t unfold as planned but in the process, I uncovered something fascinating: gourmet clusters — small towns near major cities teeming with food and beverage businesses.

Through time spent with chefs struggling to launch or sustain their businesses, I envisioned a chef incubator program that could nurture culinary talent and seed new gourmet clusters. The idea caught the attention of developers looking to weave food into their communities, which led me into consulting. Then a dear friend, Matthew Mitchell, challenged me:

“Stop sharing your ideas—build something yourself.”
I laughed it off. But a few months later, I saw an opportunity in a 90-acre parcel, owned by friends that hadn’t advanced in its development. A lightbulb clicked on and I jumped in to action.

Ten months later, I closed on the land — and CERES was born.

Soon after, serendipity struck again when I met Clive Davis, now my business partner. We connected instantly, with our shared desire to transform residential development by not only creating places where life is lived deliciously but by also building teams that better reflect the community.

CERES Chattahoochee Hills is the first in a series of communities designed to make food the foundation of vibrant living. We’re weaving culinary culture into everyday life — through gardens, greenhouses, orchards, edible landscapes, and experiences that build connection and a sense of place. The chef incubator will be a vital part of CERES and the greater Chattahoochee Hills area, fueling the local food scene, launching chef-driven concepts, and sparking new gourmet clusters.

Whether you’re a future resident, a guest, or simply curious, we hope you feel the passion behind this vision. CERES is about a healthier, more connected, more abundant way of living.

We invite you to live deliciously.

It’s an honor to share CERES with you.

Live deliciously,
